Last week The Gypsy Queens (www.gypsyqueens.com, @TheGypsyQueens) decided to get back to their roots, busking their way across four countries in four days.

The band, who have played for the likes of Elton John, Rod Steward and Prince Harry, played impromptu sets to thrilled crowds in Liverpool, Belfast, Edinburgh and Cardiff. All the proceeds from the tour went to local children’s hospitals along the way.

Didier Casnati, Jason King, Manuel Polin, Jay Metcalf and Anders Klunderud are on the traditional road-to-success story for buskers: play on the streets, learn their craft, gain confidence, get signed (with Universal, no less), record an album and start touring for the release.

The Gypsy Queens debut album is released on November 5th 2012 and can be pre ordered at Amazon, HMV and Play.com.
