A Sussex- based musician has found a way to entertain shoppers by using green energy. Singer/song- writer and guitarist Phil Cory has assembled mini solar panels to power his music.

He sends the energy created by the panels to a regulator which converts the voltage into a manageable current for the guitar amplifier. The energy then charges an internal battery in the amp so it can produce sound.

Phil’s home is also designed to be able to live off grid: “I’ve got pedal power and solar power which creates electricity for my home.”

Unfortunately Phil doesn’t quite produce enough energy to qualify for the Government’s Feed-In-Tariff reward for his solar energy.
