“You can’t swing a cat in New Orleans without hitting a street performer,” said Philipe LaMancusa, co-owner of Kitchen Witch, a lovely bookstore in the heart of the French Quarter. In certain places, he’s totally right. But what’s so nice about NOLA is that the type and quality of street performance there is unique, very much part of the city fabric, and quite different and unexpected at times.

We’re not the only people who think so. Producer Tim Craig is turning his cameras to their gritty world, for his project, “New Orleans Street Performers“.
