Michael Grant, a street performer locally known as “Philly Jesus” has been arrested for disorderly conduct when he refused to leave Love Park in Philadelphia. Philly Jesus is known by locals for spreading religious messages via stunts such as walking on water and baptising people. Police has been criticised for for verbally attacking and threatening Him.
This has started online protests by Philly Jesus’s fan base, with Twitter handles such as #FreePhillyJesus.
Not even Jesus is safe.
